I keep hearing from friend Nora that the Carrie Nations have played/are playing in the LA area from time to time... does anybody have actual CONCRETE information as to when they might be playing again? Nora said she met Zeman at the last show. Really!

Fri, January 9, 2004 - 2:37 PMThe Carrie Nations played at the opening night of my Midnight Mass movie series in 2000. They rocked! Actually, it was Pansy Division's first time in drag and we even went so far as to put drummer Louis in blackface. They played three songs before a body came flying down from the rafters above. I believe it was also the last time Pansy Division performed in drag.
If there's any truth to your rumor- please let me know so I can book them ASAP. -

Tue, May 25, 2004 - 8:00 PMRedd Kross used to perform "Find It" live now and then, and do a hot cover of "Look On Up At The Bottom" on their 'Born Innocent' record from 1984 ... they were the band that got me hip to BVD ... and I love their 'tribute' movie Desperate Teenage LoveDolls (also a nod to the Runaways + John Waters in many respects)
